Our time together will be punctuated by several excursions and activities that will help us get to know this region and its culinary, cultural and market scene better. I want to introduce you to the people, places and activities that made me fall in love with this intriguing part of Italy.

HERE IS A PREVIEW OF THE ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN YOUR RETREAT TUITION:

• A visit to the Ostuni antique market; one of Puglia’s largest antique markets located in the historical centre of the white city. 

• A tour of one of the most historic ceramic studios in Grotteglie, where we will learn how the artisans make and decorate their signature pieces. After the tour, we will spend the morning in the city enjoying the shops and studios that fill its artisinal core.

• A private lunch at a 0 km restaurant which belongs to the Slow Food presidium. Our meal will highlight the seasonal best and regional specialties.

•  A visit to the Lecce weekly market, filled with food, clothing, and housewares. (For those who have been to the weekly market in Siena, this is Lecce’s version with similar types of sellers.)

• A culinary lesson at a historical Masseria where you will be entranced by the beauty and creativity of the chatelains of the property.

• A hands on creative workshop with local jeweller, Isabella owner of the brand Radice Nomade. She will open her one of a kind, unbelievably creative studio and home to us where, with the assistance of her team, each guest will create a keepsake piece to commemorate their trip to Puglia.

• An olive oil tasting at a memorable Masseria, which is a part of the slow food movement, followed by dinner.

• Tour with a local guide to explore Polignano a Mare before having free time to explore.

• 7 nights accommodation in a single or double room, based on your requested booking category.

• Chartered bus transfers to and from the scheduled excursions on our itinerary.
