During our day trips we will be exploring some beautiful Tuscan cities. Read on to discover where La Dolce Vita Retreat attendees will journey in 2024.
Our group will visit the medieval city of Siena which is undoubtably one of the jewels of Tuscany. Famous because of its beautiful architecture and the Palio horse race that takes place twice each summer in the “Il Campo” square, it’s a town full of photo ops and pretty vistas. Yet, amongst the typical tourist shops and fashion stores, you will also find a thriving local community who call the city home and welcome the influx of tourism dollars to their city coffers.
After visiting the Siena (Italy) weekly market in the morning, attendees will be able to explore the city on their own to enjoy the local sights and have lunch before rejoining the group.
Attendees will visit Lucca during our outing to the Sunday morning antique market. A beautiful city, whose historic city centre is built inside fortified walls, a popular activity is to rent a bike from one of the many shops and ride the top of the ramparts. Known as ‘The City of 100 Churches’ there are a plethora of churches in the city center built in the renaissance, gothic, medieval and Roman eras.
All excursions will be via chartered bus, fufilled by e20Toscani, their terms and conditions apply.
